Marin County Mental Health Hall of Fame

Every two years, the Marin County Mental Health Board stages a banquet in May - Mental Health Month - to celebrate some of the uncelebrated people in the community who have improved the lives of adults with mental illness and children with serious emotional disturbances. These people work behind the scenes to serve others and are representative of countless others who serve without expecting recognition or publicity. Awards have gone to clients, family members, staff, and community members.

Specific criteria include:

• Courage and effort in facing great personal obstacles
• Selfless and tireless work to improve the lot of others
• Fostering trust and good communications among clients, families, and staff
