Center Point information provided by: Marin County Community Mental Health Services

Since 1971, Center Point has provided affordable, comprehensive, and systemic treatment and a wide array of complementary rehabilitative services to high-risk families, adults, and youths in California. Center Point provides a multi-disciplinary continuum of social rehabilitation services. Personal, social, and moral responsibility is promoted by developing training academies for the acquisition of interpersonal, vocational, educational, social, and community integration skills. Center Point strives to advance individual employment opportunities, which reduce dependence and crime while supporting increased self-reliance, personal productivity and social responsibility. Center Point believes that the reclamation of individuals, families and communities is possible through effective services which interrupt cycles of poverty, illiteracy, abuse, neglect, homelessness and crime. THE CENTER POINT SERVICE MODEL Our multi-faceted, trans-disciplinary approach is derived from a fundamental philosophical belief that services must be whole person focused. We view addiction as a bio-psycho-social-spiritual disorder. Our programs employ a combination of cognitive, behavioral, clinical-therapeutic, peer support, family and spiritual interventions which promote pro-social adaptation which results in self-sufficiency and productivity. Center Point offers a comprehensive continuum of services, including: " Residential treatment services for: pregnant and post-partum women and their children; for men and women adults; for adolescents; and community corrections services for women offenders with dependent children. " Non-residential services including: intensive outpatient treatment, family counseling, continuing care and long term aftercare support. " Specialized services such as primary and preventative medical and psychiatric care, and education training and consultation. " Transitional housing with supportive services for single women with children, and chronically homeless families and individuals. " Drug court services for adults and youth. " In custody therapeutic community programs with linked aftercare at several California State Prisons. " Offender-based assessment, referral, placement and case management services.
